In Indiana, the need for blind and vision services is pressing. Thousands of residents face daily challenges that hinder their independence and quality of life due to vision impairment. With your vehicle donation, we can amplify the work of organizations like the National Heritage for the Blind and local vision-services groups, providing essential resources and support directly to our communities.
This page outlines how your generous contribution can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who struggle with vision challenges. From funding low-vision clinics to supporting accessible transit options, your donation helps create a more inclusive Indiana for everyone.
The local need in Indiana
In Indiana, an estimated tens of thousands of residents live with some form of vision impairment, impacting their ability to navigate daily life independently. Areas with higher concentrations of seniors, such as Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, are particularly affected. These individuals often lack access to essential services, leaving them isolated and vulnerable. The demand for effective support systems continues to rise, making it imperative to address these gaps through community-driven efforts and donations.
