How we started
Hoosier Wheels began in a small community center in Bloomington, Indiana, where a few dedicated volunteers noticed a troubling trend: many of their neighbors were eligible for critical benefits but remained unenrolled due to lack of information and transportation hurdles. Recognizing the power of community and the untapped resource of vehicle donations, they set out to create a program that would connect those who wanted to give with those who needed assistance.

By establishing Hoosier Wheels as a vehicle donation program, they could not only provide funding for a dedicated benefits-research service but also bridge the gap for many Hoosiers struggling to access resources like SNAP and WIC.
