At Hoosier Wheels, we believe in the transformative power of off-road vehicles. Many of our donors have once utilized their ATVs, UTVs, and Side-by-Sides for adventures on Indiana's rugged trails, hunting trips, or farm work. Whether it was a family gathering at the lake or a day spent exploring the backroads, these vehicles often hold cherished memories. When it comes time to move on, donating these vehicles can provide a new purpose while benefiting the community.
Our typical donors include Indiana farmers, ranchers, and outdoor enthusiasts who have upgraded to newer models or simply no longer have the need for their off-road machines. By donating your vehicle, you not only declutter your property but also lend a helping hand to local charities and initiatives that rely on the support of generous individuals like you. Your vehicle donation can make a significant impact in our community.

How pickup works
Donating your ATV, UTV, or Side-by-Side is a simple process with Hoosier Wheels. Our team will schedule a pickup at your convenience, often utilizing a trailer or small flatbed truck to safely transport your vehicle. In many cases, off-road vehicles do not require a title, and we can facilitate the process using a Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (MSO) or a bill of sale. If you have an old utility trailer you'd like to donate as well, we can coordinate pickup for that simultaneously. Our staff will guide you through the necessary paperwork, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
What drives donation value
The value of your donated ATV, UTV, or Side-by-Side can be influenced by several factors. Vehicles with higher hours of operation typically hold more value than those with low mileage, especially for 4-stroke ATVs. Models like the Polaris RZR and Can-Am UTV often command strong prices in the used market. Well-maintained units with service records are more valuable, while those showing signs of wear, such as dents and plastic fade, may see a slight discount. Even non-running vehicles hold positive parts value, making your donation worthwhile regardless of its current condition.
Documentation you need
- Title (if available)
- Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for off-road vehicles
- Bill of sale documentation
- Service records for valuation
- Appraisal for classic vehicles (IRS Form 8283 Section B)
Indiana specifics
In Indiana, the DMV regulations for ATVs and UTVs can vary, especially for off-road-only vehicles, which often do not require standard titling. Instead, these vehicles may be documented with a bill of sale or MSO. It’s important to be aware that while your donated UTV or ATV might not have a title, Hoosier Wheels can help navigate the necessary paperwork to ensure your donation is processed smoothly. This local knowledge allows us to streamline the process for our donors throughout Indiana.
